El Tesoro Blanco tequila is one of the last remaining tequila's that are produced using exclusively traditional production methods. From estate grown agaves, to brick hornos and tahona extraction El Tesoro has it all. Further, El Tesoro isn't watered down to it's final bottling ABV, it is distilled to proof meaning what you taste has not been diluted in any way. The taste of El Tesoro Tequila is full and true to the Weber Blue Agave.
AROMA: On the nose, loads of cooked agave and some salinity, definitely getting minerals. A honey like sweetness, very appealing.
TASTE: Naturally sweet agave and white pepper along with some anise. The finish is nice and clean. There's also citrus and grass notes.
ENJOY: Slowly, sipped and savoured. Simply delicious
Every artist has a muse. For Don Felipe Camarena, it was the blue weber agave. At La Altena distillery, they stay true to his vision and honour their agave using traditional handcrafted methods, elevating tequila to a work of art.
La Alteña distillery was created in 1937 by Don Felipe Camarena. He was a visionary man who saw the potential to make a great tequila in the mineral-rich highlands of Jalisco. Today, his grandson Carlos Camarena is the Master Distiller and his sister, Jenny Camarena, our first female Director of Operations. The Camarena family continues to honour the traditional way Don Felipe made tequila over 80 years ago.
