Listing this El Tequileno blanco as our first ever mixto tequila was not a very hard decision at all. Whilst we have always been advocating for 100% agave products, we have come to the realisation that sometimes a well made mixto can outperform a poorly made 100% agave product - particularly when additives are involved in the 100% agave category.
El Tequileño Blanco has been the tequila of choice for locals in the region of Jalisco for more than 60 years. A blend of 71% agave and 29% Piloncillo (handmade unrefined Mexican cane sugar), only the finest ingredients are sourced to make this high-quality tequila. El Tequileño Tequila judiciously sources agaves grown in the most coveted Highlands of Jalisco, and is combined with the mineral rich water sourced from El Volcan de Tequila. After copper pot distillation, this Blanco is aged for 14 days in American Oak which gives it more balance and complexity.
AROMA: Cooked agave, herbal notes, delicate notes of anis and black pepper
TASTE: Sweet cooked agave
BARREL: Unaged (rested for 14 days in American oak)

El Tequileno has and always will be additive free. This unique brand also does not use chill or coal filtration (except for the Cristalino), ensuring the tequila you have is rich full of oils, aromas and flavour.
