Produced at the La Altena distillery in the highlands of Arandas in Jalisco Mexico, Tapatio Tequila Excelencia extra anejo is typically made for the private consumption of the Carlos Camarena family. From time to time small releases are made available for export allowing the magic of Carlos to be enjoyed by all. Using only the finest agaves from his crop, Camarena uses traditional methods and a heirloom still to produce what is arguably one of the best extra anejo's available.
AROMA: The aroma fills the room with cooked fruits, ripe agave, spice and wood shavings.
TASTE: Vibrant agave and herbal notes with perfectly balanced with raisin, dried fruit, dark caramel, banana, and sweet vanilla flavours.
BARREL: 3 to 4 years in new French oak casks
