Laying claim to the highest modern distillery in the world, La Estacada sits at 7,200 feet above sea level. It is here that the Herrara family produce their exquisit sipping tequila Tierra Noble. La Estacada is located just outside the equisite town of Mazamitla in Jaliso Mexico.
Two unique aspects of Tierra Noble which make it the perfect tequila are at these high altitudes, the air is cool and crisp which causes a much slower fermentation resulting in a musto with well developed flavours (using exclusively Montpelier wine yeast) and a secondary fermentation, usually only scene in chardonnay production, which produces beautiful buttery notes in the final product.
The delicate balance of the agave notes with the subtlety of the American oak, lead us to discover in the careful selection of soleras a gentle reposado Tequila but with great presence that culminates in the precious perfect golden of Tierra Noble.
TASTE: Notes of prunes, toasted almonds, vanilla and light presence of dulce de leche.
BARREL: American oak
ENJOY: As a premium sipping tequila or high end cocktails.
