Alquimia 14 year extra anejo tequila is 100% agave with no nasty additives or manipulation and is the only known certified 100% organic tequila in Australia. Everyone told Adolfo that he could not plant agave on his family’s ranch in Agua Negra, which is precisely why he did. In 1992, Adolfo conducted extensive soil tests and realized that with organic methods, it could be done. He combined the modern science he learned in the U.S. with the traditional agricultural methods employed by his grandfather in Mexico to produce an organic protocol that would change the small town forever.

AROMA: Cooked agave (yes! even after 14 years), dried fruits, vanilla, buttery toffee.
TASTE: Those cooked agave notes follow through with dried fruits. Full bodied and complex there are layers and layers of flavours to explore. The finish is long and respectably so. The heat from the 50% abv works nicely here.
