Bozal Castilla Reserva Mezcal (750ml / 47.3%)
Produced with the agave Castilla, Bozal Castilla Reserva is a limited release line. A close relative to the Espadin, but smaller in size and found more in the wild and less cultivated it is heavily influenced by its terroir. Sourced from deep in the Oaxacan valley and close to a river, it brings a fruity forefront to the mezcal. Bozal Castilla is also distilled in clay pot stills which is very rare to come by, this method of production imparts unique characteristics to the end product not found in copper pot or other stills.
AROMA: Fruit forward and earthy.
TASTE: A slight sweetness is evident on the palate with flavours of roasted agave, mocha and fresh mint and pepper, finishing smooth with subtle hints of smoke.
ENJOY: Let this one open up in the glass for a few minutes. The difference is well worth it.
