Wahaka Mezcal is produced by the family of 5th Generation Maestro Mezcalero Alberto Morales with help from the community of San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca. Wahaka Madre-Cuishe’s flavours are a product of its terroir. It is subtly herbaceous, with a hint of freshly fallen rain, this rare, wild-harvested agave often grows in the low-lying volcanic terrain of Oaxaca’s Central Valleys, where warmer temperatures and drier conditions give birth to more savoury, minerally mezcales. This Madre-Cuishe captures the singular character of this maguey and its environment very well. Its bright, earthy notes develop delicately and slowly, while its long finish allows those flavours to linger gently. The Madre-Cuishe’s unique citrus flavours pair wonderfully with a variety of foods including exotic fruits.

Wahaka Artisanal Madrecuishe is the embodiment of traditional mezcal. Straight or mixed, the balance of smoke and sweetness mark the start to your mezcal adventure.

AROMA: Aromas of green aloe, pine sap, white pepper, light agave syrup, sage and thyme, dusty clay.
TASTE: Taste confirms the gentle smoke and mild earthiness of the nose. The flavours are lovely and well integrated. Flavours of lime, lemon, pepper, mesquite, sage, candied ginger, light mango. Straight forwardly pleasant and very long finish.
ENJOY: Sipping mezcal is enjoyed slowly and with friends. Makes premium cocktails.
